- This project arose from a desire to ease medical student burden in navigating the medical career process(MCP) specifically in the transition from UME to GME.
- A pilot virtual project which was inter-institutional and multispeciality was conducted in 2022, academic coaching was added in order to expand the skill set for students and that project was funded by the American Medical Association (AMA)
- Brief large group coaching as well as individual coaching was adapted to meet the needs of local students.
- Both the organizers and the faculty including residency program directors, associate program directors as well as individual faculty serve as advisors, mentors and academic coaches to medical students and bring a wealth of experience to this project.
